Have you checked out our recent facial oil post? If you have, then you know we are all about updating our skincare routine for the winter season. Your skin may be a bit flakier or it may not have the same vibrancy that it usually does due to the cold weather outdoors and heat being blasted when indoors. All you have to do is tweak your skincare routine a bit and you are going to be good to go!
Exfoliate
Exfoliating through all seasons is a must, but during the colder weather, you want something gentle since skin is already a bit delicate. Instead of a harsh scrub, opt for something like Drunk Elephant’s T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial which resurfaces skin for a smooth and silky end result.
Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial, $80
Soft Lips
Your lips might be chapped and hurting a bit. Not only does it look painful, but it’s really hard to apply lipstick over a dry and bumpy surface. Use a toothbrush or lip exfoliant to get rid of dead skin cells and then apply a lip mask to rehydrate. Bring on the matte lipsticks!
Colgate Soft Toothbrush, $1.67
Eco Lips Lipscrub Mint, $7.99
Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask, $26
Facial Oil
We did a whole post on facial oils for the winter season, so you know that this is one step that we love. Your regular moisturizer may not be cutting it at this point due to environmental effects. Add a couple of drops of your favorite facial oil into your moisturizer and pat into your face. Your face will look wonderfully hydrated, healthy, and refreshed.
Herbivore Lapis Oil Balancing Facial Oil, $72
Sheet Masks
Your skin will thank you when you take the time to do a weekly sheet mask. It’s a great treatment to do at home that will have you feeling as if you are at a spa. Your skin will totally thank you for this!
Gabriel Hydrating Mask, $7.50
Overnight Mask
Night creams are a great way to wake up with skin that is completely moisturized. It may feel a bit thick when you apply it at first, but by morning, you will fall head over heels in love with the results. Put on a good layer at bedtime and get a good night’s rest!
Yes to Coconut Overnight Crème, $20.50
