HealthySmartLiving: Products That Support Breast Cancer Awareness

Products That Support Breast Cancer Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and there are dozens of ways you can give back. From rounding up purchases to participating in the Susan G. Komen Race For the Cure, everyone has an opportunity to support breast cancer treatment and research.

While I’m happy to give to charity, I also think it’s nice to support these foundations through purchases I would likely already be making. If you’re looking for products that support breast cancer awareness with your purchases, here are a few ideas for brands that give back.

  1. Stojo Cups

cups that support breast cancer awareness

These cups are so convenient for hot or cold drinks on the go (or if you work from home like me, they’re great for traveling from your kitchen to your desk). They’re made of LFGB Certified silicone, the gold standard for food-grade silicone safety, and they’re free from glues and chemicals. I love the satisfying process of popping the cup into shape and collapsing it back down for storage!

Throughout October, Stojo is donating 20 percent of all proceeds from the Peony-colored cup and bottle purchases to the Living Beyond Breast Cancer foundation.

  1. Erin Condren Planners

planners that support breast cancer awareness

One of my favorite parts of the new year is a fresh new planner. (Most years, I cheat a little and start my planner early. I can’t help myself!) Erin Condren makes absolutely gorgeous organizational supplies, and the planners are just perfection. They have roomy weekly spreads, convenient monthly spreads, lots of extra room for notes, goals and miscellaneous planning, AND they come in different sizes! What’s not to love?

Erin Condren planners are beloved by teachers, avid bullet journalers and busy women of all stripes (myself included). Through all of October, they’re donating 50 percent of the retail price of this planner to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, so now is the perfect time to get organized.

As a bonus, you can also grab some of my favorite Pilot G2 rollerball pens. They write beautifully and come in black or pink ink. All purchases of these special-edition pens benefit the BCRF too.

  1. Eastern Standard Provisions Co.

I know that most of my recommendations for you guys are healthful, but sometimes you just have to indulge in a little treat! (Treats are good for mental health, right?) One of my favorite indulgences is a chewy, salty, soft pretzel, and Eastern Standard Provisions Co. is famous for its pretzels.

Their special Breast Cancer Awareness Box is packed with sweet and savory soft pretzel goodies, including a pink ribbon pretzel and a side of strawberry sugar. They’re donating $10 from each box to the American Cancer Society, so I highly recommend grabbing a box (or two) to share.

  1. With Love Darling Equality Bracelet

There is lots of breast cancer support-inspired jewelry available, but I specifically chose this brand because it supports even more than breast cancer research and treatment. With Love Darling’s Equality Heart bracelet also works to increase gender equality and women’s rights in vulnerable places. Each bracelet is handmade from organic and recycled materials, and every step of the process is sustainable.

For the month of October, the brand will donate 100 percent of net proceeds from their Power of Pink collection to City of Hope.

  1. Kindred Bravely Nurse in Comfort Pink Bundle

bundle that support breast cancer awareness

Whether you’re pregnant, already nursing, or have a friend who’s a new mother, this is the gift that keeps on giving. I love spoiling new moms with useful, luxurious gifts (they’ll never buy them on their own!), and this bundle is perfect. It includes buttery soft bamboo pjs, plush slippers, a comfy nursing bra and panty set, and a convenient lingerie bag to wash everything in.

Ten percent of every bundle purchased will be donated to BCRF throughout the month.
